This collaboration knife was forged by Mastersmith Nick Rossi in a demo at the Midwest Knifemakers Guild Hammer-In on August 19, 2023. Nick donated this integral forging of 5160 steel to the guild, for the purposes of having it finished by guild members and used as a fundraiser at the 2024 Twin Cities Knife Show. Mastersmith Howard Clark was next to contribute including some refining of the grinds. Howard also provided his world-renowned heat treatment processing before passing it on.
 
Journeyman Smith James Fleming executed the final stages of completion including finish grind and sanding, quilted maple handle, and blackened steel finish. Additionally, James fashioned the leather sheath to complete the package. This is truly a unique collaboration and a rare … 1 of 1!
